Support After Suicide Hub (SASH) Launch
About Support After Suicide
A program of Jesuit Social Services since 2004, Support After Suicide has been supporting people who have lost a loved one to suicide for nearly 20 years. Support After Suicide provides individual counselling, peer support groups, specialised postvention coordination and professional education and training.
About SASH
LGBTQIA+ people aged 18 years and over who have lost a loved one to suicide can join the SASH online community to share experiences, connect with peers, and offer support and understanding to one another. SASH will feature up-to-date resources, and information, and will be particularly relevant for rural and remote members where support is often limited.
The project has been guided by a Lived Experience Advisory Group ensuring SASH is designed for and by LGBTQIA+ people bereaved by suicide.
SASH is funded through the National Suicide Prevention Leadership and Support Program.
You're invited to the online launch of SASH (Support After Suicide Hub), the first national online community for the LGBTQIA+ people bereaved by suicide.
The launch event will feature speakers and an expert panel discussion. We look forward to sharing more details closer to the event.
