Wear it Purple Event: Changing the Narrative

We are starting the conversation and changing the narrative about LGBTIQASB+ suicide in a powerful event boasting nationally recognised speakers from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and LGBTIQASB+ communities.

In 2010, Wear It Purple was founded to raise awareness about preventing LGBTIQA+ suicide. Join us as we explore how the power of story telling is changing the narrative, changing our futures and creating hope in the face of systemic violence including racism and institutionalised discrimination that contribute to the heartbreaking rates of suicide in our communities.
